About Yes We Travel Too

Hey — welcome. I'm so glad you found this corner of the internet. I started Yes We Travel Too because I kept searching for travel content that reflected my experience as a Black traveler, and too often the results were the same: the same faces, the same "bucket list" spots, the same advice that assumed I was starting from a very particular place.

So I built the one I wished I'd found.

What This Blog Is

This is a melanated traveler's journal — honest, specific, and personal. You'll find real trip reports that talk about what it actually felt like to be in a place, not just what the landmarks look like. I write about where I felt welcomed, where I didn't, where the food changed my life, and where I'd go back in a heartbeat.

I cover both domestic and international travel because the story of us in travel spaces doesn't stop at the U.S. border — and neither does my curiosity. A weekend in Atlanta and two weeks in Kenya both belong here.

I don't speak for every Black traveler — our experiences are as varied as we are. What I can offer is my perspective, consistently and without apology. My hope is that something in these pages makes you feel seen, or curious, or ready to book that flight you've been putting off.
